MUSICIANS NEEDED

THE SHOTRODS have been around, gigging in Kent and the South East since 2007, with varying degrees of success.
The band have never made much of an impact on the UK Rock n' Roll scene, mainly due to not having actively sought gigs within that sphere.
However, the band HAS, in various forms, been quite sucessful playing parties and festivals in and around the south east.

The time however has come to make a go of it as a rock n roll/rockabilly band, even perhaps with a new name.
Therefore I am looking for musicians that are enthusiastic, prepared to commit to establishing the band and who know the music inside out.

WHAT WE NEED

Lead Guitarist or Lead/Rythym Guitarist Obviously a vital role within a rockabilly band, the Lead guitarist sets the pace. The sort of music we want to play requires a semi acoustic (hollow bodied) Gretsch, Hofner, Gibson or similar style guitar. If you have a telecaster insteadl, then that'll do nicely! Please no strats.
Rythm Guitarist If we cannot find a guitarist that can play both lead and rythym, then we'll need a dedicated rythym player. An electrified acoustic guitar has just the right sound.
Drummer Unlike modern music, a rock n roll/Rockabilly band paces itself on the beat that the drummer sets. Without the beat, there's nothing to hang the music on! Most of the work is snare/hi hat and bass drum.
Lead Vocalist/Front man or woman Come and sing some good old rock n roll with us....you need a charismatic presence and a great voice would help!
Keyboard Keyboards are a great addition because it expands the range of songs that can be performed.
We need someone that can play anything from Jerry Lee Lewis through to Moon AMullican and beyond!
